We pay cash for the following materials at our recycling center:
We also accept cardboard and paper but are usually not able to pay anything for it, depending on the market.
You can also donate cardboard and paper to the GCRC; see below for details.
Here are some examples of common items you could recycle for cash:
old pots and pans
aluminum siding (from mobile homes, trailers, houses)
aluminum window and door frames
steel pipes, fixtures and valves
copper pipe & tubing
copper wiring (see below)
Notes on copper wiring:
The law states that only licensed contractors can turn in stripped copper wiring. This is to prevent theft.
All others SHOULD NOT strip the insulation from copper wiring before turning it in, or we cannot accept it.
We pay by the pound for all good material received. Rates vary with the grade of the material, whether it contains mixed metals, and the current market value.
* We do not offer regular pickup services for recycling, but if you have a large amount of metal please call and we will work with you on a pickup.
Items we DO NOT accept:
We don't accept the items above because the price we can get for these items in Phoenix does not cover our costs in processing and hauling.
The GCRC (Graham County Rehabilitation Center) in Safford is able to accept plastics, paper and cardboard as a donation. We encourage you to contact them for more info: GCRC of Safford: (928) 428-6950 - 502 W Main St, Safford, AZ.
